My heat-treating career began in 1978 on the floor of a commercial heat treating plant in Racine. After working for two other commercial heat treaters in southeast Wisconsin, I found my “home” with Hudapack in 1986 when I started as the second shift supervisor. I take pride in the fact that our Hudapack employees remain committed to attaining excellence in all aspects of the heat-treating field because they earn their stripes on the floor. Hudapack’s philosophy of “training your replacement” remains evident in the other bios you will read. I feel proud of the experience level that our team brings to the table when planning and executing your heat treating needs, and as a team, we plan to continue pushing Hudapack to the next level. I started with Hudapack in 2000 as the receptionist and have moved my way up to my current position as Office Manager. In 2002 I was promoted to production assistant. As production assistant my duties included customer service and order entry. I gained a lot of heat treating knowledge while in this position. In February of 2008 I was promoted to my current position. I handle the insurance, 401K, human resources and our company newsletter (which you can read on this site). Greg Huss Elkhorn Plant greg@hudapack.com I am Greg Huss, production assistant at Hudapack in Elkhorn. I have been with Hudapack since 1999. I started at the Elkhorn facility as a Lab Inspector and back-up Furnace Operator. In 2001 I moved to the Glendale Heights facility in Illinois, where I took over responsibilities as a shift supervisor. I was promoted to Quality Manager in 2002, and then to Production Manager in 2003. In January of 2008 I returned to the Elkhorn facility to work in the production office. Hudapack's focus on customer service and quality makes us one of the leading heat treaters in the country, and our continued drive to achieve higher standards will only improve Hudapack in the years to come. Shane Orndorf Elkhorn Plant shane@hudapack.com My name is Shane Orndorf, and I am the Productions Scheduler for Hudapack Metal Treating in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. I started my “heat treating education” here in 1994 bringing plenty of hands-on experience to my current position. In the beginning, I worked on the floor building loads and running furnaces. I am originally from Bay City, Michigan and I joined the Hudapack team on November 20, 2006. After college I started my career in a small steel foundry, and then worked in the automotive industry. I moved to Ohio and started working in a small heat treating company. I am now happy to make my home here in Wisconsin.
